Dao Japanese Buffet in Palm Bay

Loved the sushi & price. The soup was kind of meh, but who is coming for the soup?

IF YOU HAVE BEEN LET DOWN AND HAVEN’T RETURNED TO DAO, PLEASE GIVE THEM ANOTHER TRY!They had always been my absolute favorite restaurant when I lived in Palm Bay. I moved to Melbourne so I haven’t gotten a chance to go until today. Ohmyohmyohmyohmy they have gotten BETTER! Their sushi, their hot bar, hibachi, EVERYTHING! 1000000% recommend, 10000% will go back! Please treat yourself to some food from DAO and thank me later.

The best sushi buffet I've found yet. So clean such friendly staff. Too notch sushi. They take request and send you quickly. We love DAO!!!!

We went there with friends and it was a good surprise. This is a very good value price, there are many different sushis and they were good. I recommend if you are on a small budget and big appetite!

I arrived at about 7:50 PM on a Saturday evening. Clearly I would have found a larger selection had I gone earlier. But unfortunately none of the staff understand English well enough to even understand my question, when I attempted to inquire about what time I should have arrivrd, in order to to find more than one slice of sashimi left at the sushi bar. (The website wasn't helpful – in that regard – either.)

I walked in there and wanted to about their food to go and the front end person was not helpful at all. She gave me resistance to assist me. l walked out with such a turned off attitude.

Love coming here to eat for lunch or dinner. They have a nice variety of food to pick and choose from. Their sushi is yummy. Desserts are quite tasty too. You get a lot of food for the price you pay! The servers are always checking up on you. The music is just right for the atmosphere. Would recommend!

The food was awful. I don't know how they managed to pass the health department inspection. Nothing that should have been hot was hot at all. Most items were completely cold. The hibachi was hot only because it's cooked right then but the person cooking didn't bother stirring the food properly so it was only half cooked. All for the weekend price of $16.95 per person. Definitely won't be back.

My husband and I enjoy this place. Nice and clean with fresh food no matter what time of day. Lunch prices are reasonable so are dinner prices. Went Youngs buffet will NEVER go again.

This place is a pretty good find for an all you can eat buffet. There's a wide variety of food including your usual Chinese food selections, a hibachi station, seafood, and sushi. They usually have oysters and lobster claws and blue crab. The reason for 4 stars is the lobster claws and blue crab are deep fried and sometimes overcooked. But the price is moderate and the sushi is really good so you can definitely fill up and get your money's worth.

This is one of the best kept secrets in this area. One of the best things that my ex boyfriend took me too. He knew I enjoyed sushi and made fun of me because I could use chopsticks .but we are no longer together and I still come here with my friends. The sushi is fresh and amazing ..does not taste old. The chefs and waitstaff are friendly and kind. Quick to take your plate if you want to grab more. Clean and a relaxing atmosphere. Glad my ex brought me here! My friends and I enjoy it!

Off exit 173 on I-95 to the west, you will find an L-shaped strip mall on your right-hand side. Hidden in the corner of the "L", sits Dao Japanese Sushi Buffet. The restaurant is divided into two serving areas: a sushi bar and a separate wall with all kinds of Asian options - all served buffet-style. Also on offer is a dedicated Hibachi grill area to prepare a meal from scratch to your liking. The interior is pleasantly divided in tables and booths with ample space for large groups. Privacy is secured through some wooden room dividers.The predominant color is red and lighting is subtle.

Selection was excellent.i chose orange chicken, coconut chicken, and sweet and sour chicken.All were great. With all you can eat.

Lots to choose from.... .my son loved the sushi.... dinner buffet is somewhat pricey, but most of what we tried was good. Buffet food with meat/ steak was too chewy....love beef & broccoli, but couldn't eat it. Chicken dishes were yummy!!

Decent enough buffet. Sushi was pretty good. I thought the service ended up being the best part. They were very attentive and helpful. Even the Hibachi chef was courteous and helpful. The decor could use a little help and the selection which was ok, but just sort of spread out. They seem to be operating in a space too big for the business. Pricing was in line for other evening sushi restaurants. I’ll be back.

Delicious, endless, local, lots of choices, not a bad price.

I love this place! We go almost every week mostly because we love how kind the employees are to us. Every time we see them, they recognize us and smile and it just completely makes our day. The food is great, there's always a nice selection available to choose from. The atmosphere is very calming and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place!

Sushi is always good!

Have came a few times. Love the raw oysters and the hibachi grill. Variety of sushi. However don’t come a hour before closing. No hibachi. No other sushi. More like a lunch buffet with food cold. So very very disappointed. WENT AGAIN TO GOVE ANOTHER SHOT AND BUGS WERE IN THE HIBACHI FOOD. I GRABBED ONIONS SAW ONE DEAD FLYING BUG AND GAVE TO THE MAN. THEN I PICKED UP THE LITTLE CORN AND THERE WAS ONE ON IT. PUT MY PLATES DOWN AND WALKED OUT

I've been going to competitor Sakura since it opened. I was always satisfied, but now that I've stumbled upon Dao I know what I've been missing. The sushi is absolutely fantastic. There is so much more fish to rice and filler here that it's not even a comparison between the two restaurants. Sorry Sakura, everyone needs to come here.

The sushi was very good I enjoyed my dinner. There was a large selection on the buffet and some seafood as well it all look delicious however I was just eating sushi

There's plenty of options to choose from. Not too many desserts options. Plenty of seafood options and you can make whatever you like on the hibachi grill. Price is fair.

This was my first time here. My friend gave me a going away party here and invited a bunch of our friends from work. I'm moving on so they gave me a lunch party here. The food is good, they have sushi and hibachi and will cook anything you want right there. The variety of food on the buffet was the perfect amount. Sometimes there is too many choices and such a waste, not here. I would recommend this buffet to people.

food was fresh and the variety was huge. Want to eat healthy? They have selections for that. I went during a slow day, so they prepared smaller batches for the buffet. Nothing was setting out for a long time. Good choice.

Came an hour and half before closing time. Sushi area is basically empty, no refill at all. It it’s 30 minutes before closing time I’d understand, but 90 minutes before closing? No. Not worth what we paid for.

Freshest, best variety of Sushi, Hibachi and Asian cusine I've found coast to coast. Super clean, great attentive staff.

This is great all you can eat sushi. There's also a hibachi grill that is really good. The prices are higher than Young's all you can eat and beside hibachi and sushi there's not a lot of choices. But friendly staff and delicious food

This place is a buffet restaurant featuring sushi and several Asian-style foods. The sushi is made right there and is tasty. The other offerings were not things I usually eat in any of the buffet restaurants but appeared to be standard items. Pretty average place offering good food at reasonable prices.

Really good food, I can't believe lobster is part of the menu! The servers are very friendly. The sushi bar has a great variety. Their ice cream taste like real ice cream yummy. If you are a hot tea lover like me, make sure to ask the lady to put 3 tea bags in the kettle 😔 not just two; they serve the hot tea with too much water for just 2 little tea bags...😢

Always fresh food. They make your food to order. A nice clean environment. Family had a great time.

Nothing good to eat, Not Fruits, No Salads, barely a piece of fish, a few pieces of Sushi, very big lack of food, No dessert and really Unhealthy, no recommended even for dogs, the Propaganda it doesn't match the reality, out there are a lot of ways to waste the money, the place is clean and the personal is good but NO FOOD IN THIS PLACE

Food is diverse and pretty fresh depending on the item. Some seem a little dry, like the salmon, but it was still good. Love the fresh food off the hibachi grill. Sushi is pretty good and they keep it coming. Also, can't be an Asian buffet without ice cream. They have a selection of 8 flavors of ice cream. The do work well with large groups and they are nice to kids.

So many choices; everyone is bound to find something they like. The price is reasonable and the waitresses are hardworking. I left stuffed. :)

Great buffet and grill, have all kinds of different dishes to satisfy anyone, they also have a grill for Mongolian BBQ

We eat here very often. Husband loves the sushi and I am a big fan of the Mongolian bar. Chef is great and also friendly. All of the staff is and very attractive. If I had to Lodge a complaint it would be the odor from the rest rooms. Appears to be clean however I think they are using moth balls for the urinals. We will definitely be back.

Don't go within a hour if closing, tried to tell me hibatchi was closing an hour and 15 minutes before they closed. Good cold, not stocked and no service. One time to ask about drinks, had to go to front tiono
